Clear-cut proof of media sensationalization and possible bias?

this question is probably only for the next 30 minutes. go to yahoo and read the headline: consumer prices shoot up at fastest pace in 26 years. then click on the headline and read the first sentence. if its not on yahoo then click the link below: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080716/ap_on_bi_go_ec_fi/economy

Tell me you don't see it?Clear-cut proof of media sensationalization and possible bias?
don't see it...sorryClear-cut proof of media sensationalization and possible bias?
If you are talking about where it says the worst inflation in 26 years and the other says the 2nd worst in 26 years, it says it is a correction at the bottom of your link.

I don't think they are sensationalizing it. I remember 26 years ago when my economic life changed completely. 1982 was a terrible year for a lot of people and it took about 2 years before things began to improve for about 20% of the population.

The improvement was slow and tedious. Many had to relocate or take temporary positions paying around $4 per hour. This happened to people with many years of service. With the automotive industry laying off large numbers of people now, we are just at the beginning of worse things to come. It is happening now just like then.
Yes but, I don't know that this is an example of bias but it certainly is an example of the media searching for any bad news it can either find or develop.

It is akin to today's headlines, in our local newspaper, which

blare - '; US Afghanistan Deaths increase to highest level in years. 70% increase this month';.

We're in a bloody war against a well equipped and determined enemy and US military deaths have risen to

2 every three days. No one wants our guys to be killed or injured but the newspapers, if they were honest, would be shouting out that our losses are only one every day and a half.

Their 70% increase is intellectually dishonest in that if you have one killed today and 2 next week you have a 100% increase from one week to the next but it's still only two deaths.

We have 100 times that number killed in auto accidents each and every day in the US..

4000 of our guys have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan in the last 6 years. During the same period 240,000 Americans have been killed by cars and 480,000 ( gov't estimate) have died in Hospitals due to medical mistakes.

Why won't the anti-Bush media face the fact that we are at war and people die in wars. When will they stop attacking their own nation in order to get their political leaders elected?
the price of energy has raised consumer prices.

......

i fail to see any sensationalization or possible bias. if your question isnt around in 30 minutes its because you asked a stupid question.
