How can i clear my digital camera media card?

The best and most efficient way is to 'format' your media/memory card.

Look in your camera's menu, for 'format'. Formatting is erasing/deleting ALL the images and information stored in your memory card. If you simply just, 'delete all images', all that does is remove your images/pictures. Also stored in your memory card, is information saved about each image taken, i.e. date, time, setting, histograph, etc. So just 'deleting images', does not remove the old information stored..and thus is still in your memory card taking up space.

So, when you've transferred all your images/pictures safely in your computer or a disc, make sure you 'format' your memory card in your camera. You don't need to delete the images and format. You can just format, and it will remove both the images and the stored information making your memory card free and clear for more pictures!

(Make sure you've saved all your pictures onto your computer as soon as you can. I've seen too many questions about how to recover accidently 'deleted' or 'formatted' images from their memory card. Don't store too many pictures on your card that haven't been saved elsewhere. But if you want to carry around pictures on your memory card/camera to have with you, at least transfer/make copies in your computer or cd disc.)How can i clear my digital camera media card?
Put it in the dishwasher, lol only kidding.

If you are working in an windows environment and your machine recognizes the card just click on the icons that you want gone and delete.
