Divx is affecting windows media player video playback the picture not clear any ideas why?

I have Divx installed on my Vista 64 home premium computer I dont play back through divx I use media player classic but I noticed playback was not clear I have lines accros the picture and the Divx name flashes at the bottom of the video during playback. The only way round the problem so far is dragging and dropping the video into Divx player and there is no problem except I prefer media player classic is there away to fix this?Divx is affecting windows media player video playback the picture not clear any ideas why?
Just in what you have said, it sounds like you are attempting to play a video that you got from a torrent site. If you're getting lines through your picture, it is because your file is missing ';chunks';. The difference between a DVD you get at Walmart and the DVD you get off a torrent site is that the Walmart DVD has all of the file pieces in it. Your torrent is not always guaranteed to have all the pieces.

When you are choosing a file, make sure that the hits (number of people who have downloaded it) is above 500. Any lower than that, the file won't work very well.Divx is affecting windows media player video playback the picture not clear any ideas why?
Not really an answer, but:

You're talking about those lines that kinda-sorta look like interlace lines (but they aren't interlace lines)? I have the same problem with DivX videos I encode myself. They show up when you play in Windows Media Player, but not in the DivX player. Didn't have that problem under XP, but I do under Vista. Still looking for a solution.

The DivX logo can be gotten rid of: when you play a DivX file in WMP, an icon shows up in the system tray. Right-click it and select DivX Toolbar Settings. There is a checkbox ';Show DivX logo watermark'; you can turn off.
Forget codecs. media player classic,

When you want to play divx, .avi, .flv. mov. wmx. .mkv. mp4. mpeg and many more, just install Gomplayer

It is a free player, that can play them all.

Just install player

goto preferences

others
