Does clear instruction to the pt about the preparation of contrast media procedures affect on the success of?

i am doing a research on contrast media preparation in diagnostic imaging %26amp; my question is :


what effect does the nature of instruction have on the effectiveneness of contrast media investigations???Does clear instruction to the pt about the preparation of contrast media procedures affect on the success of?
I am a nurse and have given PO contrast media before. IV is given in the center. The only instruction that I am aware of is Drink all of it and stay NPO. I would think that if those two things are not done, it could be a problem.





There are a few questions that get asked, dialysis, allergy's asthma, diabetes, and can the patient consent. Any wrong and answers could be a real problem.
